PSG Gives Achraf Hakimi a Break Before Crucial Matches
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has chosen to give Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi some time off before their upcoming Ligue 1 game against Saint-Étienne scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2025.
The club announced through an official tweet on their social media platform that, following discussions with the sports management and technical team, Hakimi has been granted permission to continue resting and will resume training on Sunday.
Hakimi was absent from Morocco's recent game against Tanzania, which they won 2-0, because he had too many yellow cards. In his place, Youssef Belammari from Raja Casablanca took over at left-back.
PSG's manager Luis Enrique plans to rely on Hakimi for the forthcoming crucial games, notably the UEFA Champions League match against Aston Villa.
At a press briefing, Enrique highlighted Hakimi’s significance, describing him as an essential member of the team at the French club.
This season, Hakimi has participated in 37 games for PSG in total competitions, netting 5 goals and delivering 11 assists.
